We are very happy to announce that the team at Simian International, in partnership with Falck Prime Atlantic, have once again achieved the CISRS OSTS annual accreditation, for the sixth year running.
This year’s audit took place at our centre in Ogun, Nigeria and saw our very own Abid Gul carry out the first Scaffolding Supervisors course at the site. The audit was overseen by CISRS auditor Trevor Donoghue, his first visit to the site, and we are proud to say that he was very impressed with the work that takes place within the centre.
Our Nigeria centre was opened in early 2016 and was the first OSTS training provider in Africa. We offer a number of courses at this location including fire safety training, offshore survival, trade skills for the oil and gas sector, CISRS OSTS scaffolder level 1-3, basic inspection and scaffolding supervisor.
The centre was built with the wellbeing and professional development of all that attend in mid, therefore we do not only have classrooms and practical spaces but also medical support, restaurants and break out areas, that are utilised and appreciated by trainees.
During the audit our team also took part in discussions with Trevor on how careers in scaffolding can be effectively communicated to the local government, including funding for young people within the local area to give them an opportunity to join our thriving industry.
Simian International have established an enviable reputation for providing effective scaffolding training and consultancy services to businesses across the globe. Take a look at the work we carry out here.
