Our Health & Safety consultancy service provides competent and expert advice from professional, qualified scaffolding safety consultants, who all have extensive expertise of working at height safety consultancy.
We can tailor our services to meet the exact needs and objectives of clients wanting to implement best practice Health & Safety initiatives. There is no ‘one-size fits all’ solution, meaning each package is tailored to meet the needs of each individual client.
Here is what’s included within our retained service agreements:
Simian Risk Management can act as the Competent Health & Safety Advisor on behalf of organisations in accordance with Regulation 7, Health & Safety Assistance, of the Management of Health & Safety At Work Regulations 1999. This enables clients to access industry best practice advice and comply with current standards.
An annual meeting with the organisation’s management team ensures changes in legislation and guidance are highlighted, documentation updated and necessary service reviews scheduled.
Clients are allocated an Account Manager for day-to-day issues. We also employ a team of consultants to provide additional support and assistance.
Retained Client Certificate
This certificate can be displayed in the reception of business premises and included in pre-qualification questionnaires (PQQ).
Clients can contact Simian Risk Management via telephone, email, fax or correspondence. We maintain an extensive library of up to date reference material, which clients can access via their Account Manager when required.
The level of service provided can be tailored to suit business needs and objectives. We provide flexible packages to suit all budget requirements, so the cost to the client is based on individual needs. These include pre-determined consultancy arrangements, documentation reviews, short-duration training, mentoring, assistance with pre-qualification (CHAS and Safe Contractor etc) and proactive monitoring.
In addition to the standard features of our retained service, as a retained client, you are free to add as many consultant days to the agreement as you need. This means you can manage your budget over a twelve-month period and also enjoy the reassurance that the next Simian visit is not too far away.
We can also include ‘credits’ for vocational training such as management and scaffolding courses, which enable you to schedule training for the most operationally convenient time and to spread the associated costs across a twelve-month period.
Your dedicated Account Manager will undertake a full compliance review audit, which includes the delivery of a comprehensive report, a review meeting with key personnel and the production of an action plan to serve as the catalyst for ongoing improvement.
This review, based on the specific requirements of each client, serves as the catalyst for necessary improvements to ensure ongoing improvements in safety performance.
We guarantee to respond to emergency situations within twenty-four hours. Such circumstances include accident/incident investigations, HSE enforcement action and site non-compliance issues. Clients are also given out of hours contact information.
Retained clients receive preferential scaffolding training rates and priority notification of any special and last minute offers from Simian Skill.
