Following months of uncertainty and a great deal of planning from the SIMIAN team, we are very proud to say that three of our core CISRS training centres have now been reopened, and we are once again welcoming those from the scaffolding industry onto our training courses.
Staff at our Warrington, Weston-super-Mare and Leytonstone centres having been working tirelessly over the past few weeks to prepare for our reopening. With social distancing now part of our ‘new normal’, we have been working to ensure that our centres were fully prepared to host our training courses whilst also maintaining the safety of all those involved.
We have a number of procedures implemented on site including temperature checks at the beginning of each day, one-way systems, sanitising stations and socially distanced classroom layouts. Not only does this meet current guidance for training centres, but it also provides vital reassurance to both staff and delegates that all necessary precautions have been taken for their safety.
Courses have already commenced on site, and it is great to see things return to some semblance of normality after the challenging few months we have all experienced.
Speaking of our centres reopening, Operations Director, Dave Randles, said:
“As with every other business, the pandemic has proven to be a real challenge to SIMIAN, as we adapt to the way that things need to be for the foreseeable future. Significant amounts of work have gone into making our training centres ‘COVID secure’ and our team have really risen to the challenge. We are currently working through a significant backlog of learners who were affected during our temporary closure and are slowly but surely moving towards our new restricted delivery capacity in all of our centres, and we hope that this will be another shot in the arm in terms of getting the scaffolding industry back on its feet and being fully productive.”
