CISRS (BASE) Basic Access System Erector

Book this course

Duration:

The course is held over 5 consecutive working days (Monday to Friday).

Attendees:

This scaffold inspection course is designed for non-scaffolders who erect, alter and dismantle very basic and routine scaffolding structures using specific modular system scaffolding. Attendees will be required to hold a current Construction Skills Health & Safety test or equivalent.
As a basic scaffolding course, it is aimed at tradesman such as bricklayers or maintenance operatives who have the need to construct their own temporary access.

Objectives:

The aim of this CISRS basic scaffold inspection course is to provide operatives with limited skills and knowledge for safe use in accordance with the manufacturers’ instructions within restricted conditions and environments.

Certification:

Upon successful completion of the course, the trainee will be issued with a BASE Completion Certificate and an application form to apply for a BASE record card for the specific system scaffolding product they have been trained in.

The Accredited Centre will notify the data management unit at Construction Skills of successful completion.

Further training:

Once an operative has held a BASE card for a 3 year period, they could be eligible to attend a CISRS Systems Scaffold Part 2 course. This would be dependent upon having the relevant experience and he Part 2 course would need to be carried out using the same product, e.g. Cuplok, they had completed the BASE course in.

Upon successful completion of a Part 2 Systems course, 1 day Skills Test and VQ assessment and CSkills H&S test, delegates can then apply for a System Scaffolders’ Card.
